Tiny Bit of Giant’s Blood were engineered for excess. So in the age of short attention span / quick hits / snarky tweets in two words or less… it made perfect sense to craft a 22-minute full-album-side epic mini-space-rock-opera in the spirit of RUSH: 2112, overture and all. “1-9-7-5” is the story of a future where extended lifespans + overcrowding have inspired the brilliant solution of sending millions of “eldernauts” into deep space, for dangerous missions from which they will (hopefully) never return. One of thousands of vessels—ship number 1-9-7-5—is on an irrevocable course toward the heart of stellar-mass black hole Gaia BH1.

The world premiere of this music piece happened at the Rhapsody Theater in Chicago in May of 2023; this edited video of that performance is the only place you can currently experience “1-9-7-5.” But it will be on the band’s upcoming album, produced by Manny Sanchez, recorded by Bryan Clavey, and on its way to your ears soon.
